He became weak
So that we could be strong.
He became poor
So that we could be rich.
He became homeless
So that we would always have a home.
He became fatherless
So that we could have our Father back.
He became hungry
So that we could feast.
He became thirsty
So that we could have the water of life.
He had his heart broken
So that we could have ours fixed.
He was forsaken
So that we could be embraced.
He fell into darkness
So that we could walk in the light.
God turned away from him
So that He could turn toward us.
It pleased the Lord to crush him
Because it did not please Him to crush us.
He died
So that we could live.
He became like us
So that we could become like Him.
